Where AI may be used

AI tools may help with drafting outlines, rephrasing, tightening language or brainstorming. Anything they produce is treated as a rough draft, never as finished copy.

The rule that matters

No article, tool description or policy is published unless a person has read it, checked it and taken responsibility for it. Language models are prone to stating plausible-sounding but wrong astronomy, so our review looks specifically for that kind of error.

What is never AI-generated

The calculators. Every astronomical routine on the site is written and tested code implementing a published method, checked against reference values. A chart position is arithmetic with a right answer, not something to improvise.

Accountability
